Toyota Finally Reveals Austrian built 2020 Toyota Supra jointly developed with BMW.
January 14 (Jidosha Shinbun) -- After the shutdown of Scion and a two decade absence, the Supra will return to
Toyota's lineup for the 2020 model year. While the A80 Supra shared parts with Lexus, the new A90 Supra was jointly developed
with BMW. It will be even built by Magna Steyr in Austria as well. The new Supra has subtly cues from the previous
generation Supra such as the headlights and the rear end.
The 2020 Supra will again be powered by an inline six cylinder engine. In this itineration, the inline six is a 3.0 liter
twin scroll turbocharged six that produces 335 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a eight speed
automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Toyota says the new Supra will go from 0-60 MPH in 4.1 seconds.
The 2020 Toyota Supra has a wheelbase of 97.2 inches and an overall length of 172.5 inches with an overall width of 73 inches.
The Supra is light with a curb weight of 3,397 pounds.
