BIOGRAPHY

Roderick has been at the forefront of technology for a long time. He started using computers at a young age. His first computer was the Commodore VIC-20. While other children were playing with Atari, Nintendo, or Sega gaming consoles, Roderick was busy programming on Commodore or Apple IIc computers. Since then, Roderick has owned many computers over the years, including the Commodore 128 as well as generic and name-brand PCs with Intel x86 processors such as the 80386, the Pentium line of processors, and the current Core line of processors. Another of Roderick's interests include web development. Before the Internet and the World Wide Web became popular, and YouTube became a household name, he taught himself to create web pages in HTML in 1994 back when web pages were mostly only text. Additionally, Roderick is interested in smartphones. He began with Nokia phones powered by the Symbian operating system, but eventually switched to HTC phones powered by the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. When T-Mobile began offering the first Google Android-based smartphone, the G1 manufactured by HTC, which is also known as the HTC Dream outside of the US, Roderick bought one to try it out. However, in 2012, Roderick stopped using HTC phones due to the political stance of the chairman of the company. Roderick currently owns devices with the Apple iOS, Google Android, Linux, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. He is a mnember of the SPG, MPG, and other guilds and writes about the latest events in the tech and auto industries.
